AASOC FOOTBALL TEAM PREPARE FOR LIFE AFTER WUSU

AASOC FOOTBALL TEAM PREPARE FOR LIFE AFTER WUSU
Adebola Adegunwa School of communication football team has been singing the song of success in the last two years being the winner of the novelty match against the mass communication department of the University of Lagos and the runner up of the last two editions of the inter faculty cup losing in the final on two occasion to faculty of Education and faculty of science respectively.
The success of this team over the years goes to the passion and courage of arguably the best sport director AASOC ever had “OLWASEGUN BONIFACE” and his football loving class. Wusu as he his fondly called was the sport director of the faculty from 2011/2012 to 2012/2013 academic session gave birth to the passion hunger and courage of the supposed underdog team.
Wusu who led the team to the back to back final of the V.C inter faculty cup is a member of the most sport driven class of AASOC the 2012/2013 academic set had nothing less than 9 players in the team of the faculty, five of which are starting 11 of the team. The class would be effectively missed by the faculty after their graduation.
Rufai bolaji james a regular player of the team also lament at life after wusu as he qualified him as the back bone of the team “wusu is the backbone of our team and we are going to miss him because he always want a win, he made sacrifices for the team at his own inconvenience”. He also admits to the absence of 2012/2013 class as a blow to the team as they have close to 50% of the team at their disposal.
“The new sport director [Idris Salami] has a lot to do now by building a new team that would continue the legacy of his pre successor after losing most player of the team to the labour market”. These are the words of the Rabiu Idris the striker of the team. He also believes there are talents in the faculty if only the sport director can explore by bringing in new faces to the team.
