Ankara, Lace Rocks In Lagos

The Nigerian fashion industry has been existing since the existence of Nigeria, how ever its revenue ability in the late 60s and early 70s when Lace and Ankara arrived the Nigerian shores. The appetite for the consumption of these fabrics increased the number of local industries across West Africa. 

Ankara fashion is everywhere now, both in Nigeria and in the country of the whites. Designers are improving on their skills and are coming up with lots of stylish designeed in Ankara fashion. The level of Ankara design is now competitive that if you are not ready to equip yourself with the sophisticated pattern of Ankara,Lace design, you will not have to stand in the current trends of the latest Nigerian fashion which comes in different forms i.e Veretable wax, Ghana wax,Block wax, Hollandias etc.


Lace is an open work of fabric, patterned with open holes made by machine or hand. It  also comes in different forms and names i.e Swiss lace, Voile lace, French lace, Polished lace, Jacquard, Guinea brocade that are sold in large volumes in the Nigerian markets in Lagos like the Idumota which is one of the oldest markets and probably one of the biggest in West Africa.
